Jesus Centered Easter Craft for Kids
Celebrate the true meaning of Easter with this joyful Jesus Easter craft! Kids will love making their own rolling stone tomb scene with a bright sun, cross, and the powerful message “He is risen” — all using a simple paper plate and our free printable template.
Materials
- Paper plate
- Markers
- Brown pencil crayon or paint
- Glue
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Paper fastener

Instructions
- Cut half of the paper plate .
then color it with brown colored pencils or paint. This piece will become the base of the tomb 
- Cut an arc shape from the center of the remaining paper plate. This will be the empty tomb opening.

- From brown construction paper, cut out a circular “stone”
and attach it to the front of the plate using a paper fastener
so it can rotate and move away from the tomb. 
- Cut out the sun using our printable template,
glue the pieces together,
- Cut out the cross using the template,
and get ready to add both of these to the back of the paper plate. 
- Add the Easter cross next to the sun, symbolizing the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

- Finally, glue a piece of white paper into the arc
and write “He is risen” to complete your Easter scene. 
This craft gives children a chance to reflect on the joy of resurrection morning. As the stone rolls away, the message “He is risen” is revealed – a powerful visual and hands-on way to teach young kids the Easter story.
