With this nice weather, keeping the kids entertained at home becomes a lot easier because they can burn a lot of their energy outside, if you are lucky enough to have a garden.

Simple activities in the garden keep all of our kids occupied for most of the day, whether they are having water fights, blowing bubbles or playing football. Another great activity that we introduced for the kids is putting a pop up tent in the garden, which they love to play in and is great to use as a den for imaginary games, or just a nice place to chill in the shade.

We were sent one of Regatta’s pop up tents which are so quick and easy to set up, whether you are at home in the garden or going camping for a weekend.

The tent comes flat in a round bag like this, and within just a couple of minutes it will be folded out and fully set up as a 2 person tent.

If you are a beginner camper and not very technical, like me, then this is idel as it saves a lot of confusion and time. It is very self explanatory.

Here is the specification for the tent…

  • 2 man capacity
  • Pop up technology allows quick and easy pitching
  • Waterproof Hydrofort 70D flysheet with 3000mm hydrostatic head
  • Hardwearing, waterproof Polyester groundsheet
  • Fully fire retardant fabrics
  • Strong and flexible fibreglass poles
  • Practically positioned internal pockets and lantern hanging points
  • Multiple vents and mesh door allow air flow throughout whilst keeping out insects
  • Bright guy lines for extra visibility

The 2 man capacity is a great size for using in the garden, as it doesn’t take up too much space, but there is still plenty of room inside for the kids to move around. Two can sleep comfortably, and when sitting you can fit more people especially if they are all children. If you have a bigger family you may need to look for large camping tents, especially if you are staying overnight. Always look for comfort and reliability. Do not compromise on quality and make sure everybody has a designated space and feel comfortable, especially if you need to fit beds in it.

Putting up a tent in the garden for a few days is great fun for kids, because of the novelty factor – something new and different always grabs their attention. This Regatta pop up tent is totally waterproof if you want to camp outside for the night, and the double layer door keeps bugs and insects away so you can relax peacefully.

Add some friends, maybe a barbecue and a paddling pool and you have a great camping weekend at home to enjoy the sunny weather to the max!
