We recently took part in the Lion Guard Toys Twitter Party and were excited to get a look at the new range of Lion Guard toys from Flair. My boys love the Lion Guard TV show on Disney Junior, especially my 4 year old, and we were impressed with the toy range to go along side it.

The range includes big play sets, such as the Lion Guard Defend the Pride Land play set, smaller figure sets, and blind bags too.

The Defend the Pride Land play set was the biggest hit with R. It’s an impressive set with lots of details, and it works really well together with the figure sets for endless imaginary play.

The set comes with one Kion figure with posable limbs, and the Lion Guard mark shown on his side just like in the TV show. It also comes with a boulder piece, and has cool features like a moveable water fall, and a trap.

The five pack of Lion Guard figures makes a great addition to the play set, allowing kids to expand their play with more of the Lion Guard characters, like Bunga who is a favourite in our house.

They also enjoyed opening up the blind bags, which are great to collect. Out of six blind bags which we used in our Twitter party bags, we received four different characters, so two duplicates of some of the popular characters. This seems quite fair, although if you want to make sure you get a particular one you might be best buying the full character set instead of taking the chance!

Overall we’re impressed with the Lion Guard range from Flair and would definitely recommend it for fans of the show. If you loved the Lion King as a child (like me), it’s lovely to be able to introduce the new version – The Lion Guard – to your kids. I have been enjoying seeing my children play with these!
