Instructions

Print and cut out the ice cream template pieces. Trace the ice cream scoop onto white construction paper and the cone onto brown construction paper, then carefully cut out both shapes.
Younger children may need some help with the cutting, while older kids can trace and cut the pieces independently.
Pour small amounts of pink, red, blue and yellow paint onto a plate or paint palette.
Use cotton balls to dab the different colors all over the white ice cream scoop. Kids can use a fresh cotton ball for each color or experiment with mixing the colors together.
