One of the best parts of Christmas is spending quality time together with the whole family. With the children home from school, and time off work, it’s a great time to slow down and make time for family game night, or a game afternoon.
I’ve been having a look for some new games that we can play with the kids and found some great ideas over at Very.co.uk – with a wide range of board games, family games and even Karaoke machines, they have so much to keep the whole family entertained over the festive season.
Check out the full range of toys and games at Very.
Here’s a run through of the games that we picked out this year.
With children ranging from 4 to 13 years old, I was able to find some really fun games that will keep everyone happy.

There are so many great options to choose from - take a look at these fun family games I found for my kids
My kids all love Monopoly, and the Junior versions are easier for younger kids like my daughter.

Risk was one of my favourite games to play at Christmas with my brothers and sister. It is a great strategic one for older kids with a competitive streak, so I can't wait to play this with the boys over Christmas.
This is a great one to play with all the family, like uncles, aunties, and grandparents too.

This is a classic, and so much fun. Can you get the wand all the way along the wire without touching and setting off the buzzer?
This game is great for all ages and I'm sure my kids will love challenging each other with this activity.

We love Scrabble. This game is perfect for older kids, and also for us grown ups to have some fun challenging each other.
I chose this travel version so that we can have fun on the go and easily bring this to family and friend's houses over the festive season, especially as some of the uncles and aunties in our family love scrabble too.
RRP £19.99 Currently on sale for £12.99 (Save £7)
A festive 1000 piece puzzle is a Christmas essential for me! I really love the detail on the Ravensburger ones and these are great for the kids to get involved and help out.
We can keep this puzzle running for a few days over the Christmas holidays until we manage to complete it together.
RRP £13.99 Currently on sale for £7.99 (Save £6)
Paw Patrol Save the City The Adventure City Lookout Game is going to be a huge hit if you have 4 or 5 year old children who love Paw Patrol, like my daughter and her friends.
This looks like so much fun and she is going to be so excited to unwrap this game over Christmas. This game ties in with the Paw Patrol movie that came out this year

Dobble is a brilliant game for all ages. My kids love the classic original game of Dobble so I couldn't resist trying this Paw Patrol version for my youngest.
Dobble is so easy to pick up and it's easy to take on the go too because it's stored in a small tin, so it's great for travelling over the Christmas holidays.
