Find out the best ways to spend your time during the early mornings in Las Vegas

Las Vegas has a reputation for its exciting night-time entertainment and activities. But did you know there are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas during the early morning hours?

You may not find too many shows and events performing in the early morning, but there are plenty of other activities and experiences to enjoy.

You could do anything from having breakfast at fine restaurants to exploring mountains and trails in the desert. The possibilities are endless.

Below are the top 9 things to do in the early morning hours in Las Vegas:

1) Go Birdwatching at a Wetlands Park

You may not think the Las Vegas desert has anything resembling wetlands, but it does have a small oasis with fascinating wildlife to observe.

The Clark County Wetlands Park has a Nature Preserve attraction that opens at 6 AM daily.

It is the perfect time for birdwatchers to come and observe up to 212 different bird species and over 70 reptile and mammal species. It is a fun trip for adults and families with children.

2) Grab a Cup of Coffee

Las Vegas has plenty of cafes and coffee shops to grab a delicious cup of gourmet coffee.

Of course, you can find coffee available at virtually any hotel restaurant, but we recommend going to an independent coffee shop like Sunrise Coffee or Mothership Coffee. They open at 6 AM daily.

Sunrise Coffee is a fabulous coffee house near the international airport. It serves some of the finest roasted coffee in the country using organic fair-trade coffee beans.

The preparation options include standard drip coffee, handmade lattes, and pour-over coffee. All these produce a tasty coffee to get you up and running in the early morning hours.

3) Dine at The Original Omelet House

The Original Omelet House has been a popular Las Vegas restaurant for tourists, locals, and celebrities to get breakfast since 1979.

It serves large portions of delicious breakfast foods, such as omelets, sausage, French toast, and eggs. They also have a lunch menu with burgers and sandwiches too.

Some of the most notable celebrities who have dined at the Original Omelet House over the years include President Bill Clinton, Jerry Lewis, and Jerry Seinfeld.

The best part is that the prices at the restaurant are affordable for the average tourist.

4) Visit the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden is a 14,000-square-foot garden paradise with beautiful seasonal flowers, diverse themed floral designs, flowing water, butterfly houses, and other visibly appealing features.

The Botanical Garden is open 24 hours per day for tourists and guests. Although they charge for parking, it is free to enter the conservatory.

Perhaps you could walk to the Botanical Gardens if you stay at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip because the conservatory is also there. Then you can avoid the parking fee.

5) Observe the Animals at the Las Vegas Farm

Did you know Las Vegas has a farm that looks after abandoned, battered, and mistreated animals?

The Las Vegas Farm has provided food, shelter, and rehabilitation to thousands of abused farm animals for over 60 years. It also allows guests to visit the farm animals for a small entrance fee.

The various animals at the Las Vegas Farm include rabbits, cows, horses, pigs, goats, turkeys, ducks, chickens, geese, peacocks, llamas, and more. You can even purchase organic fruit, eggs, and unfiltered honey.

The Las Vegas Farm opens at 7 AM.

6) Explore Red Rock Canyon

It is never too early to explore the mountainous terrain of Red Rock Canyon. You can explore its numerous hiking trails on foot or bike as early in the morning as you want.

But if you’re interested in taking a scooter car tour of the canyon, you can sign up at Scootcity Tours.

The tour guide will pick you up and bring you to the canyon at 7:30 AM, where you will ride a scooter through Red Rock.

7) Dine at a Buffet

Las Vegas has numerous buffets throughout the city. One of the largest buffets in Las Vegas is the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, which operates nine kitchens, and offers 15 chef specials daily.

Other mouth-watering breakfast buffet options include The Buffet at Bellagio, The Buffet at Wynn, MGM Grand Buffet, and The Buffet at Excalibur.

You can expect to find all your favorite breakfast food options at these buffets, such as omelets, fried eggs, pastries, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes, waffles, coffees, pizza, and more. Your taste buds will be satisfied for sure.

8) Drive a Race Car at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

There is no better way to wake up in the morning than by driving a race car at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Starting at 8 AM daily, you can participate in the Richard Petty Driving Experience, where guests can drive race cars on the race track for up to 48 minutes per session.

A crew chief will provide operating instructions and training to help you get started.

9) Drive a Bulldozer

Have you always wanted to drive a bulldozer, skid steer loader, or hydraulic excavator?

Guests as young as three years old can visit Dig This in Las Vegas to enjoy this experience.

This industrial site offers a 6,000-square-foot space for amateur machinery operators to operate various industrial machines for fun.

Dig This opens at 8 AM.

Conclusion

New York City is not the only city that never sleeps. Las Vegas is a fabulous city with many attractions and activities to enjoy early in the morning and on a 24-hour basis.

Sure, you may not be able to see your favorite shows in the early morning, but you can always postpone the entertainment until the afternoon and evening hours by purchasing Las Vegas show tickets at night. As for the mornings, plenty of dining and adventure options are available.
