Does your child suffer with Eczema? Today I have a quick guide to share from Oilatum featuring their bath time tips.
Watch the video below to see a step by step guide on caring for your baby’s Eczema prone skin.

Here’s a quick summary of the bath time steps, to re-cap.
Step 1 : The temperature of the bath water should not be too warm or hot.
Step 2 : Add emollient bath product to the water in line with the pack instructions
Step 3 : Apply the bath water gently over the skin
Step 4 : After the bath, pat your child’s skin dry
Step 5 : Apply an emollient moisturiser to all areas of the skin to help restore the skin barrier

My children have been lucky enough not to suffer from Eczema so I can not give a personal endorsement to the products mentioned, although I have heard great things about Oilatum from friends who’s children do suffer badly with Eczema.
It’s also been emphasised that children don’t always need a bath every day, and if your child does suffer with eczema, it may be better to limit baths and not bath them every night.
I’m sharing the video to hopefully be of use for any of you who do have Eczema in the family, and if anyone has some tips or advice to share please do leave those in the comments so that others can benefit from your experience.
