With the new Shaun the Sheep movie out recently, your kids might have been requesting Shaun the sheep toys to play with at home. We’ve been trying out a couple of new Shaun the Sheep toys from Rainbow Designs, and will also share a few Shaun the Sheep activities and crafts with you at the end of the post.
Shaun the Sheep Baahing Shaun Plush
First up, here’s the Shaun the Sheep Baahing plush which makes a variety of six different baa-ing and sheep sound effects.
This is a medium sized plush, and is very soft and snuggly. The sound effects are really easy to activate, just by pressing in the middle of Shaun’s tummy so even young children can manage well and will not have to struggle with finding a specific place to press. My boys love that this Shaun toy makes sounds, and enjoy activating the sounds while they are playing with the plush.
It makes a good bed time toy, or is good to snuggle with while relaxing on the sofa and watching Shaun the Sheep! As you can see, T is pretty keen on this plush. It appealed to all my boys (3, 5 and 6) and would be great for any Shaun the Sheep fan. This toy is available from many toy shops with an RRP of £17.99

Shaun the Sheep Catapult
The Shaun the Sheep catapult is a much smaller plush toy, but with the cool feature of being able to fly right across the room! At first we were not sure how to activate this, but once you work it out it is really easy and quite addictive to keep catapulting Shaun and see how far he can go! We held a few Shaun catapulting tournaments – measuring our distances and keeping score.
Shaun’s stretchy arms that you can see below are his secret ingredient that gives him the catapulting power.
To activate his catapulting motion, you need to place two fingers in the pouches on his two hands, and then pull him back with your other hand. Like this:
When you let go, he will fly across the room, and can travel pretty far!
You could set up a tower and use your catapulting Shaun to knock it down, and lots of other fun ideas. We found this a pretty cool toy, and it definitely stands out from other small plush toys of it’s size.
With an RRP of £8.99 this toy is very affordable and is definitely a good option for a Shaun the Sheep fan on a budget. Since it’s pretty small it is a handy toy to take away with you too, to relatives houses or while travelling since all you need is your catapulting Shaun and some open space and the kids will be entertained for quite a while!
