Why do kids love parties so much? Two reasons: the games and the food! If you’ve got a party coming up besides the decor, music, and play, you need to come up with a list of appealing snacks. That’s no mean feat because the menu must be sumptuous and healthy.

Luckily, we checked in with creative moms and made a list of 10 unique party food ideas that kids would love. They are easy to prepare, tasty, and healthy too!

Try out these party food ideas. They will stick in the little ones’ minds (taste buds), and you’ll be a hit with other moms. But first, a few precautions.

Does anyone on the guest list have specific dietary requirements?

You want kids to remember the party because they had fun and excellent food. Not for all the wrong reasons.

To avoid a potentially hazardous situation, check with the parents/guardians of the invitees for notable allergies. Note it down before deciding what to serve.

Also, check your budget and how much time you have to prepare. There is no point in crafting an elaborate menu if you don’t have the resources to make it happen.

If time is a constraint, start them off with a simple but tasty snack like popcorn while you prepare other bitings. Here are more party food ideas.

Starters

Popcorn

Popcorn is always a party favorite (no wonder we mentioned it earlier).

Some like old-fashioned popcorn (buttered), while others prefer exciting modern flavors. Without a doubt, few snacks can compare. Plus, it is still healthy whole grain!

Consider serving birthday cake with drizzled popcorn as they break the ice and get comfortable with the surroundings.

It’s a perfect way to give them a taste of what’s to come. You could also drizzle popcorn with other tasty ingredients like white chocolate (it camouflages perfectly after freezing) or caramel before serving.

Veggie wands

Usher your guests into a world of mystery and magic with tasty carrot and cucumber wands.

They are delicious and healthy starter snacks and would make fabulous wands for all the wannabe fairies and wizards in the house.

Appetizers

Fairy Bread

Speaking of magic and wonderland, once your guests settle in, get their appetites running with good old buttered toast. Make it different by covering it in sweet and colorful sprinkles.

It is easy to prepare, and you can cut the bread into different shapes. Use a cookie cutter to make different shapes to match your party theme.

Fruit and marshmallow kebabs

Tasty and healthy, that’s how moms like to keep it. And nothing does it better than fruit and marshmallow kebabs.

Cut some pieces of fruit (melon, berries, apples, etc.) and stick them on a skewer alternating with marshmallows.

Main course

Mini Pizza

Pizza is pretty much the number one party food for most kids. Whether on a flatbread base (with all kinds of shapes) or rolled, your guests will enjoy sinking their tiny fingers and teeth into their favorite party meal.

Best-ever mini hotdogs

Still talking about tiny versions of favorite bitings, a tray full of mini hotdogs would also be another favorite.

Serve the mini hotdogs with their favorite condiments, like finger-licking ketchup or hotdog sauce.

Your guests will have something to talk about long after the party ends.

Cheeseburger puffs

Here’s an idea of how to use your muffin tins for a genius hack. Use them to prepare (mold) bread and fill the bread puffs with ground beef mixed with cheese.

They taste just like cheeseburgers, and when drizzled with a favorite flavoring, your guests will keep coming for more.

Ham and cheese sliders

Still on burgers, if you don’t have enough time, prepare classic tear-and-share sliders using slices of ham and cheese.

They are yummy, and when propped up with your favorite dressing, like poppy seeds, they will be extra special.

The best part is they are so easy to make; you can prepare enough for your guests to take home.

Deserts

Fruity-choco cones

Now that your guest’s tummies are full, serve a memorable treat as the party curtains close.

Mix dried fruit with chocolate and present it in ice cream cones. It’s an excellent and healthy way to close up a party.

Banana split popsicles

Would you like a more portable dessert? How about a banana split covered with caramel sauce, colorful sprinkles, and whipped cream?

Although it may require extra work, watching your pint-sized guests walk around with the hand-held sundae will take your breath away.

A final word

These party food ideas will help to keep the event memorable and sweet. But they will also make the kiddos thirsty, so remember to keep them hydrated.

You can serve plenty of organic flavored water with colorful fruit, homemade fruit juice, or other healthy drinks to keep them hydrated.

Just remember to make drinks available after they eat. You don’t want them filling their tummies with water.
