The Wubble Bubble Ball is a cool new toy from Vivid Toys & Games that’s ideal for summer. The wubble is a huge ball that looks just like a bubble, but unlike a giant bubble, you can pick it up and play with it – throw, kick and bounce it around.

Wubble bubble ball, a giant bubble that you can pick up, kick and throw. Awesome for summer fun

The Wubble comes in a small box along with a pump to inflate it, and instructions on how to use. I got the boys dad to inflate the wubble for us since he is better at that kind of thing and he managed it pretty easily. You do need some vaseline to help with the insertion of the pump into the ball, and then it takes only 2 minutes to inflate.

Once fully inflated the wubble is pretty big! You can see here how the size compares to R who’s nearly 4 years old. It’s slightly bigger than a gym ball or exercise ball. It’s made from a top-secret super-thermo-stretch-tacular material which makes it squishy, squashy, super soft and lightweight.

Wherever you’re playing with it, you do need to be aware of sharp items nearby like brambles outdoors or shells and sticks on the beach. The Wubble can withstand some rough play and being pushed or pressed as you can see here, but not pricked with sharp objects.

Even when keeping it away from sharp objects, I would say that it’s not a toy that will last a very long time BUT it is very cool for the time that you have it. So get it for half term, or get it to take on a trip, or to add to the fun at a family event like a garden party but don’t expect to be able to come back to the same Wubble year after year. You can deflate and reinflate it as required though – when you’re finished playing, just deflate the Wubble with the deflation tool included and stick it in a drawer for next time.

If your Wubble does get a hole in it, you can re-inflate and cover the hole with duct tape (which we did) but if you need to replace the Wubble, you can buy a standalone Wubble without the pump for £9.99 rather than needing to get the whole set again.

The Wubble can be purchased from all major retailers including Amazon, Argos, TRU, The Entertainer, Smyths, Tesco, and WH Smiths with an RRP of £19.99. The Wubble comes in a choice of blue, purple or pink.
