Piri Piri chicken is a favourite at our house, and popular with many other families I’m sure. It’s a tasty meal that can be simple to cook and usually suits the whole family. You can mix it up by serving with rice or with chips, or however you prefer. In this simple Ben’s Beginners Piri Piri chicken recipe, it’s served with rice and salad.

How to make Piri Piri chicken : Easy Recipe

Ingredients for the Piri Piri Chicken:

  • 8 Chicken thighs
  • White Wine Vinegar
  • Honey
  • Oregano
  • Paprika
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Sliced Peppers
  • Baby Tomatoes
  • Chopped Onion
  • How to make the Piri Piri Chicken Marinade:

  • Add the chopped garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, honey and white wine vinegar and give it a good mix.
  • Add some olive oil and mix to a good consistency for your marinade
  • How to marinade your chicken thighs:

  • Score the chicken thighs with a few slices into the meat
  • Place them into the marinade
  • Throw in the sliced peppers, baby tomatoes and chopped onions too and mix it all up.
  • Cooking instructions:

  • Tip it all into a baking tray
  • Cook at 180C / 350F / Gas mark 4 for 40 minutes
  • For the salad dressing: 

  • Olive Oil
  • White Wine Vinegar
  • Honey
  • Mustard
  • Oregano
  • Black Pepper
  • Add them all together into a jar, close the lid and shake – shake – shake, to mix thoroughly. Cook some rice according to packet instructions or your own preference. Serve and enjoy your meal 🙂 You might also like these:
