How to Make Your Shadow the Hedgehog Craft
This step-by-step guide will walk you through how to assemble Shadow’s cool look using the included templates and some basic craft supplies. To make your Sonic Shadow the hedgehog craft you’ll need paper plates and our free printable templates, along with scissors, glue and colored pencils.
Gather Your Supplies
You’ll need:
- 4 small (7”) black paper plates
- 3 small (7”) white paper plates
- Pencil
- Colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- (Optional) Craft paints
These basic items are all it takes to create Shadow’s fierce look!

Cut and Color the Shapes for Shadow the Hedgehog
Use the templates to trace and cut out the shapes needed to create Shadow’s head. You’ll need to cut these shapes from your black and white paper plates:

The shapes below will create Shadow’s head. Use the templates on the following pages to cut the shapes out from your white and black paper plates. Use your coloured pencils to fill in the face, eyes, and Shadow’s red fur.
Shapes listed:
- 5A, 6A, 5B, 6B
- 1 (main plate for the head)
- 7 (red head marking)
- 2A, 3A, 2B, 3B (black fur sections)
- 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B (red fur sections)
- 12A, 12B (eyes)
- 10 (red face detail)
- 11 (nose)
Cut out the face shapes below. Use them as a template to trace the shapes onto your paper plates.

Assemble Shadow’s Face
Now, glue the pieces together:
- Start with the main black paper plate as Shadow’s head base.
- Add the white face details, including the snout and eyes.
- Attach the red markings to the head and ears, following the template design.
