The Snowman is one of the most iconic and timeless Christmas stories, and is one I always enjoy watching over again with the kids. The Snowman now also has a canine companion and no Christmas would be complete without The Snowdog! This week, I’m taking part in The Snowman and The Snowdog blog tour together with a group of other bloggers, to share with you some of the lovely The Snowman and The Snowdog products that are available, and show off our own decorated snow dogs!

img_5107Here’s a selection of some of the lovely The Snowman and The Snowdog gifts that you can look out for this year. There’s something for all ages, from toys, books, chocolate and baking sets and more.

The boys and I have enjoyed trying out some of the creative activities that were included. R particularly enjoyed painting his own snowdog using this kit.

This year Penguin Random House has worked with Wild in Art to deliver two public art trails in Brighton and Newcastle, so it was great for R to have the chance to decorate one of his own!

The kit comes with some fun suggestions on how to decorate your snowdog, like adding stickers – either before painting, so that you can peel them off to reveal white space – or afterwards to decorate. R wanted to just paint his, and had a clear idea of the colours he wanted: red for the eyes, lots of black, and a bit of a “world” design with blue and green.

He’s very pleased with his result, as you can see he took it to bed with him once it dried!

Check out the full list of the Snowman and the Snowdog goodies below, for a bit of Christmas gift inspiration! Some of these would also be lovely to get the kids to do together during the Christmas holidays, particularly the baking kits. We made the Snowman and the Snowdog chocolate muffins the other day and the boys loved making and eating them – next up will be the gingerbread!
