Materials for your Paper Plate Police Officer

This paper plate police craft is such a fun and easy community helpers activity for kids. With a bright police hat, big cartoon eyes, and simple paper pieces, it’s a cute craft for preschool, kindergarten, or classroom themes about the people who help us every day.

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Skin tone paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Construction paper
  • Marker

  • Printer if using the template

Instructions

  1. Start by painting the paper plate peach and let it dry. Once it is dry, draw a smile using a marker.
  2. Cut the templates and trace them to their corresponding papers then cut again. These are the pieces to create the police hat
  3. Assemble the templates one by one. First put together the police hat
  4. Take the hair template. You could do this whatever color you like but we did brown hair. Attach the hair at the top of the paper plate. Also attach the nose.
  5. Attach the police hat.
  6. Make the eyes by cutting two circles then shade the inner part. Assemble it together
  7. Then attach it to the paper plate.
  8. Once everything is glued in place, your paper plate police officer craft is finished. Children can add their own extra details too, like rosy cheeks, eyelashes, a name badge, or even a little speech bubble saying hello.
