  • Styrofoam bowl
  • Blue paper
  • Double-sided tape or glue
  • Construction paper in black, white and orange
  • Marker
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Base: Take the paper plate and cut a straight line at the bottom part to create a flat surface for your igloo to sit on.
  2. Shape Your Igloo: Take your styrofoam bowl Cut the Styrofoam bowl in half and cut a door in one of the halves. This will form the main part of your igloo.
  3. Add the Ice Blocks: From the blue paper cut small rectangles to mimic ice blocks. Attach these to the paper plate and around the doorway of the Styrofoam bowl using double-sided tape or a glue stick
  4. Assemble the Igloo: Stick the Styrofoam bowl onto the paper plate to complete the structure of your igloo. This creates a 3D effect for your igloo
  5. Craft Your Penguin: Using the templates cut out the shapes and trace them onto the corresponding construction papers. Then, assemble your penguin. Assemble black and white to create the main part of the penguin Draw the eyes with a marker, and then add the orange details for the beak and the feet.
  6. Final Touch: Once your penguin is ready, attach it just above the door on the Styrofoam bowl to make it look like it's popping out to say hello!
