Immersive Gamebox is a fun family friendly activity that’s perfect for indoor fun on rainy days, which we have been having a lot of these summer holidays. We decided to go along and try out a couple of the games available at the Immersive Gamebox at the Arndale Centre in Manchester and since the Paw Patrol game is newly launched, I thought I’d share a quick review.

Overview of Immersive Game Box
Each game is 1 hour long and you will be in your own private box with your group, which can be from 2-6 players.
In order to play the games, you need to wear the special visor hat which has motion sensor technology, you do not need to wear any VR headsets and when playing you don’t get any motion sickness as some people get with VR.
While you wear the hat, your body is the controller – a bit like Xbox Kinect which we used to play at home years ago (I personally loved Kinect, and I think they should bring it back. It was great for family fun game nights)

The Paw Patrol game at Immersive Game box is suitable for aged 3 and upwards and I would say that is correct. My daughter N is 6 and had a great time, so over 3s are also very suitable to play the game, and because it is not too tricky then it could be a great introduction to Immersive Game Box for first time players, like us.

You don’t need to wear anything specific, just something comfortable to move around in. N’s outfit is from Lighthouse clothing.
While we played Paw Patrol, my older kids played the Squid Game and of course that is more challenging, so you pick the games you want for your difficulty level and interests.
During the game you have a chance to order drinks direct to your box, and you are allowed to take photos and videos during the games, with no problem.
Paw Patrol Game at Immersive Game Box
So, back to the Paw Patrol game….
The Paw Patrol game at immersive game box is made up of multiple mini games. Each one has a timer and you need to collect as many pup treats as possible during that time, by working as a team.
With some of the games, both players will play at the same time and with others you take turns but it’s never competitive it is always more cooperative.
Here are a few of the mini games included in the Paw Patrol immersive gamebox experience.

Because you have multiple games to play, the hour goes by pretty quickly and N was entertained and enjoying it throughout. I would say the one hour is exactly the right length for the experience.
You get to pick which game you want to do next, so the games could be played in a different order by everyone who goes but you will all finish with Pup Pup Boogie freeze dance.

Character Matching Game
This game is like the classic memory match game, you need to work as a team to touch and turn over the cards on opposite walls to match up all of the Paw Patrol characters and then find the character hidden in the scene on the main screen.

Rocky’s Recycling Game
This game gives you details of how many and which type of recycling you need to collect, which you do by running and tapping the items on the conveyor belt on the screens around all of the walls of the room, then a grabber comes down and picks them up for you.

Skye’s Balloon Popping Game
This was one of our favorite games. By moving in the box, each player controls the helicopter on the screen.
Move backwards and forwards, left and right to pop balloons and collect pup treats but avoid the birds

Marshall’s Fire Hose Game
This game involves moving up and down the ladders by moving forwards and backwards to control the spray of water and clean all the messes that pop up on the building

Rubble’s Digger Game
In this game you need to break the rocks, and clean all of the dirt from the area – again by using your body as the controller

Zuma’s Animal Rescue Game
This is the most challenging game in the Paw Patrol immersive game box experience, but N still managed it fine.
Use your body to move, and the animals will follow you. You need to bring the fish to the ocean and the ducks to the pond, while avoiding sea weed

Overall the games are very well designed for the target age group as they are suitable for younger kids to manage, colorful, fun and clearly linked in with all of the Paw Patrol Characters.
More Details
The price for the game is £16.00 per person or £63.00 for a family of 4. Once you go, they will send you a 20% voucher to use for your next session.
We went to Manchester Arndale Centre but there is also an Immersive Gamebox opening in Liverpool at Gravity Max in the Liverpool One Centre, or you can go in Wandsworth London, or many other locations in the UK, USA and beyond.
Other games you can play at Immersive Gamebox include Squid Game, Shaun the Sheep, Angry Birds and some more like Alien Aptitude test or Temple of coins, so you can choose whatever suits you the most.
