This printable pack includes colorful award certificates alongside black-and-white pages that children can complete, color and personalise. There are seven printable activity pages in total, plus a bright cover page.
Children can present the finished pages as a Grandparents Day gift, use them as part of a classroom activity or complete them during a family celebration.

When is Grandparents day?
Grandparents day is traditionally on 4th October, but of course these certificates can be used all year round too, to show appreciation. But if you’re a teacher or day care owner looking for something special and meaningful for October then don’t forget to celebrate Grandparents day with the kids this October.
A Thoughtful Homemade Gift for Grandparents Day
Handmade gifts often mean so much more than anything bought from a shop. These printable certificates allow children to write their grandparent’s name, add their own name and include a personal message about why their grandma or grandpa deserves an award.
The activity sheets also encourage children to think about their grandparents’ personalities, favorite things, funny sayings and the memories they have created together. Once completed, the pages can be gathered into a small Grandparents Day booklet or presented separately.
What Is Included in the Grandparents Day Printable Pack?
The PDF contains eight pages altogether, including the cover. There are two full-color Grandparents Day certificates, two certificates for children to color, two “All About My Grandparent” pages and a Grandparent Interview Page.

All About My Grandpa Activity Page
The All About My Grandpa page is filled with fun pictures and spaces for children to write and draw. They can add their grandpa’s name, share something he always says, write about his favorite food and draw a picture of their grandpa.
There is also a simple counting activity where children count the gifts hidden around the page. The whole sheet can be colored in once the questions have been completed.

All About My Grandma Activity Page
On the All About My Grandma page, children can write their grandma’s name, draw a picture of her and record one of the things she always says. There are also spaces to share her favorite food and another favorite thing.
The page is decorated with flowers, hearts, cakes, make-up and other little details for children to color. It is a sweet way to capture some of the things that make their grandma unique.

Best Grandma Ever Color Certificate
This ready-to-use pink certificate reads “Best Grandma Ever” and includes spaces for children to write who the award is proudly presented to and what they are thanking their grandma for.
Children could complete the “For always…” section with a personal reason such as listening to them, making them laugh, giving the best cuddles or always being there when they need her.

Best Grandpa Ever Color Certificate
The blue Best Grandpa Ever certificate has spaces for the recipient’s name and a personal reason for the award. It is decorated with bow ties, trophies, a moustache and a Best rosette.
This certificate is already in color, so it is ideal when you need a quick Grandparents Day gift that children can complete independently.

Best Grandma Award Coloring Certificate
This black-and-white Best Grandma Award certificate gives children plenty of room to add their own creativity. It features a large award ribbon surrounded by flowers and hearts.
Children can color the page using their grandma’s favorite colors before writing who the certificate is presented to and who it has been awarded by.

Best Grandpa Award Coloring Certificate
The Best Grandpa Award certificate includes a large ribbon along with stars, bow ties, a tie, a trophy and a cup of tea. Children can color each picture before filling in their grandpa’s name and signing the certificate themselves.
These coloring certificates are a lovely choice for younger children who want to put their own personal touch on their Grandparents Day gift.

Grandparent Interview Page
The final activity is a Grandparent Interview Page filled with prompts for children to answer. Questions and sentence starters include their grandma’s favorite food, something their grandpa loves to do, what makes them laugh and a favorite memory they share.
Children can also write about the stories their grandparents tell, something their grandma is brilliant at and a gift they would love to give them. This page creates a special keepsake that grandparents can look back on long after Grandparents Day is over.

How to Use the Printable Grandparents Day Certificates
Print the pages onto regular printer paper for a quick and easy activity. If you would like the certificates to feel a little sturdier, print them onto white cardstock or mount the completed pages onto colored card.
Children can use crayons, felt-tip pens, pencils or paint sticks to decorate the black-and-white pages. Encourage them to add their own drawings, messages and extra decorations around the borders too.
The finished certificates could be presented in an envelope, added to a homemade card or rolled up and tied with a ribbon. You could even frame a certificate as an inexpensive but meaningful Grandparents Day present.

Grandparents Day Activities for School and Home
These printables are easy to use at home, in the classroom, at a Grandparents Day event or as part of a homeschool lesson. The writing prompts help children practise handwriting and sentence building while also encouraging gratitude and family connection.
Not every child has a traditional grandparent in their life, so the pages can also be used to celebrate another older relative, family friend or special person. Children can adapt the wording or use the ideas as inspiration to create an award of their own.
