First Roll – Character Dice:

Roll the dice to determine the main character of your story. The printable provides a list of characters such as a camper, ranger, scout, hiker, dog, and fisherman. Each page of the printable has different options for this, so you have plenty of variety.

Second Roll – Setting Dice:

Roll the dice again to decide the setting of your story. Will your character be by the river, at a campsite, in a clearing, inside a tent, on a trail, or by the lake?

Third Roll – Problem Dice:

The final roll determines the problem that your character will face. Possible problems include a lost compass, wet matches, a broken tent pole, burnt food, an injured ankle, or mosquito bites.

With these roll a story printables, you just need regular dice (six sided dice), and a pen or pencil to write with. You don’t need any special equipment like story dice.
