With older kids, tech gifts are often right at the top of their wish lists, and I love choosing ones that feel genuinely useful and meaningful. This year I found some brilliant options at Very. They have such a huge variety that it makes shopping so much easier, especially when you’re trying to pick gifts that match everyone’s interests. I always seem to end up on their site because they stock everything in one place, and once again they’ve completely sorted me out for Christmas.

For my 14 year old, I went with Beats over ear headphones, which suit him perfectly. He is obsessed with music and listens constantly, so this felt like such a natural choice. He uses headphones every day on his walk to the gym, so this is a gift that fits right into his routine and supports the things he loves doing. It’s not just a present to open and forget about, it’s something he’ll enjoy and rely on daily.
Plus, he really likes the over ears headphones look to finish off his outfits!

For my 8 year old, I chose a kids camera that can take photos and print them out instantly. She is beyond excited about it.

She’s already planning all the pictures she wants to take around the house, make little albums and set up creative projects. It’s such a fun way to encourage creativity and confidence. I love gifts that get kids making things and expressing themselves, and this one ticks all the boxes.

I would recommend this touch screen camera for kids around her age as it comes with different colour photo paper to use, also has pens and stickers to customise your photos so they can really have fun with it and it’s easy enough to use.

With no waiting around your photos prints out into your hands straight away and the results are really cute!

Very have a good variety of cameras not just for kids but for all ages, so it’s definitely worth a browse through those.
I couldn’t resist getting something for myself too. I picked up the new Kindle in metallic raspberry, and it is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like such a treat, but also something I’ll use constantly. My sister would love it too, so it’s one of those gifts that works for anyone who enjoys a bit of everyday luxury mixed with practicality. When a device feels this nice, it really does make reading even more enjoyable, and I know we will all use our new e-readers so much over the coming year!

I also chose a kids Kindle for my daughter, which I’m honestly so excited about. The kids editions come with beautiful covers and include a Kindle Kids subscription, so you have books ready to go right away.

It’s a brilliant way to nurture a love of reading, especially for that age where they’re moving past being read bedtime stories but still crave that cosy connection. I’m starting a new little tradition with her – our own Kindle Book Club. We’ll cuddle up with blankets, sit together with our Kindles and read side by side. It’s such a simple idea but feels really special. It brings back that bonding time in a new way that suits older kids so well.

All of these gifts from Very show just how meaningful tech can be when you choose items that support creativity, hobbies and shared moments. Whether it’s making a teenager’s daily routine more enjoyable, helping a younger child explore photography, or creating new reading traditions, the right tech can add so much joy to everyday life.

And that’s why I always end up back at Very. The variety is incredible and makes it so easy to find thoughtful presents for every personality in the family. When you shop with intention, tech gifts aren’t just gadgets, they’re tools that spark excitement, imagination and connection.

If you enjoyed this post or found it helpful while choosing your own gifts, I’d love if you could share it with friends or on social media. It really helps others discover new ideas, and I appreciate every share so much.
