Coloring with alcohol markers has become such a relaxing, satisfying hobby, which is super popular right now. I have been loving this trend and like many people, I find it helpful to see other people’s finished pages for inspiration on patterns, color schemes and concepts so I thought I would share a few pages from my Spooky Cutie Cute and Comfy Coloring Book by Coco Wyo.

This book, like many by Coco Wyo, is full of fun and cozy designs that perfectly blend a hint of Halloween spookiness with adorable characters. It’s no wonder that Coco Wyo books have become so popular for fans of cute and whimsical art. Right now, all the coloring books I’m using are Coco Wyo but others you might want to consider in a similar style are Bobbie Goods, Vivi Tinta, Southern Lotus and a few more.

Alcohol markers bring out the depth and vibrancy in these designs, making each piece feel lively and almost three-dimensional. Using markers allows for smooth blending and layering, and does not give you streaks like you would get from water based markers.
Using alcohol markers like Ohuhu or decotime lets you play with shading and textures that really make each page pop. If you’ve been curious about this book, here’s a glimpse of what you can do with some creativity, a little patience, and a few colors.

These pages are just a few of my completed designs that I hope bring you inspiration if you’re considering trying Coco Wyo books yourself. Sometimes it’s fun to see how others interpret the same page, and I always find new ideas when looking at others’ work. Whether you’re new to coloring or a seasoned pro, there’s something about Coco Wyo’s style that invites everyone to dive in and let their creativity flow.
Enjoy, and feel free to share your own creations in our kids crafts Facebook group or tag us on insta (@playroomblog) – I’d love to see your spin on these spooky cuties!
Transparent Ghost Spooky Cutie Coloring Page from Coco Wyo
To make a transparent ghost effect, first you need to fill in the background of whatever would be behind the ghost, then continue coloring all the space behind the ghost, if possible use a slightly lighter shade than what you have been using for the main picture but don’t use drastically different as it won’t give the effect properly.
Once you’ve done that, you can add a super light white or grey color within the ghost just to give that fuzzy ghostly blur to it. And that’s it!

Bubble Effect Purple Color Scheme Bathroom Coloring Page from Spooky Cutie by Coco Wyo
For this page I decided to do a color scheme focusing on different shades of purple along with black, which I love!
For the bubble texture, you want to go in first and color a background color for your water, which I used light blue.
Then for each bubble you need to take three colors and use all three in sections to make little rings, for the bubble shapes. Once the ink is totally dry, go in with your white gel pen and add highlights. I also added some plain white bubbles with the white gel pen for extra detail.
Some people outline the whole bubble in white gel pen, so you can also do that.

Autumn Trees and Trick or Treating Wolf Spooky Cutie Coloring Page
For this one, I decided to do the trees with Autumn leaves so. using reds, brown, orange instead of shades of green for the trees, leaves, foliage and bushes and so on.
To get the fluffy texture on the wolfs fur, just go in with your colorless blender. If you buy a brand like Ohuhu or decotime you will have that included with your markers, but if you buy some random brands from TikTok shop you may need to purchase those separately (happened to be before I got my ohuhu markers)

Spooky Cutie Toxic Pond Glow Coloring Page
To do the toxic pond glow, I used a water tutorial but turned everything green. So choose a base color, and then add sections in slightly darker shades of green, and then once dry, add the white gel pen lines for texture.
To make the pond water glow, take the green marker and add a glow line on all of the places that the light would hit. Then after adding the glow lines, just color the rest as normal.

Coco Wyo Spooky Cutie Relaxing Self Care Ghost Page with Rose Pattern
With this page, I decided to do a rose pattern on the chair, as well as a simple floral pattern for the wallpaper.
To do the rose pattern, choose two shades of pink and two shades of green. First, you’re going to do simple circle or oval shapes all over the chair / wall / whatever you’re coloring.
Once that’s dried, go in with the darker shade and make little curved lines to create a rose effect. For this size of rose, 3 curved lines is plenty.
Then, go in and make leaves with your lighter green. After that is dry, add detail with your darker green, and your rose pattern is done.
I decided to use the light pink and green color scheme for this whole page to give a relaxing vibe.

Coco Wyo Spooky Cutie Bird with Plague Mask Coloring Page
For this page, which is one of the first I ever did, I decided to add a leopard print to his mask just to make it fun.
To do the leopard pattern you will need your background color and then two shades – one lighter and one darker.
Like with the roses, lay down your background shapes for the pattern, so these can be varied in size and shape for the leopard print. You don’t need perfect circles.
Once the ink is dry, go in with your darker shade and add lines on each side (not all 4 sides, either top and bottom, or left and right… not all) and the effect is completed.

Spooky Cutie Ghost Graveyard Coloring Page
For this one, I made one black and one white ghost. Just a tip… if you mess something up somewhere you can always use a darker color for that area to go over it and hide it, which is why one of my ghosts is black but I ended up really liking that.
I also colored a sunset background which is pretty streaky, but I overall still like it.

Coco Wyo Spooky Cutie Old Lady Fire Glow Coloring Page
For this page I decided to do a blue color scheme. For the fire, if you want to do a fire glow it’s a very similar process to the toxic pond glow. Consider all the places the light would land, coming out of the fire, and add your glow lines there.

Spooky Cutie Potion Shelf Coloring Page with Brick Pattern
For this page, I decided to make a brick pattern in the background. To do this, first you need your pencil to draw in all the little rectangle shapes for the bricks.
Take about 3 different colors for the bricks and add them randomly but avoid having too many the same next to each other.
Once they have all dried, go in with the same colours and add an extra line along one side and down, to be the shadow on each brick.
You can then add the highlight on each brick with your white gel pen.

Coco Wyo Spooky Cutie Potion Bottles Glitter Coloring Page
For this page, I used the glitter effect. So, you want to take three shades of a color plus your white gel pen.
Color your base color in the lightest shade, then go in and make dots all over with that shade, then take the next slightly darker shade and make more dots. Then the darkest shade, and again cover it all with more dots.
Let that dry and go in with your white gel pen to add dots.
Once that’s dry, you can repeat the whole cycle again with all the colors, and you’re left with a glitter effect.

And here are some more pages from Spooky Cutie…
Spooky Cutie Pumpkin Market Place Coloring Page
For this one I used a paid pattern for the awning, spider pattern for the dress, crescent moon pattern for his clothes…

For this one, I used a green, yellow and orange color palette, and some bone patterns and pumpkin print patterns for the quilt.

For this one, one of my 7 year old girls helped me with the coloring. These books are so great for all ages, I really love coloring them and so do the kids.

For this one, I kept it pretty simple and just colored everything and added the shadows and highlights

The same with this one, the only texture I added really is the grass and a bit of ombre in the flowers.

this spooky cutie pizza one also kept simple, and turned the olives into eye balls to match the spooky theme.

This is a Christmassy page inside the spooky cutie book, to get us all ready for the new Christmas book which will be coming out, and to get ready for the Christmas season

this page I was so excited to color, but it didn’t come out exactly as how I hoped… which is all a part of the process. Coloring gradient in large areas like the sky is not that easy!
But Coco wyo do have this page available in their 40 free downloads, so I could print it out and try to go again.

This is another one I super messed up, but then I kept going and tried to fix, and I do like the plaid picnic rug..

and another one I did with my 7 year old
These are just a few of our pictures from the Spooky cutie coloring book.

We are also coloring some of the other Coco Wyo books – little corner, comfy days and cozy friends so I’ll be sharing pictures from those soon too.
