Occupation Lists: The TSS visa program uses occupation lists, such as the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), to determine eligibility for different visa streams. Teachers often fall under the MLTSSL, which allows for longer visa durations and potential pathways to permanent residency.

Visa Streams: The TSS visa has two streams: the Short-Term stream (STSS) and the Medium-Term stream (MTSS). The STSS allows teachers to work for up to two years, with limited or no pathway to permanent residency. The MTSS offers teachers the opportunity to work for up to four years, with potential pathways to permanent residency through employer sponsorship.

English Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the English language is crucial for TSS visa applicants. Teachers may need to demonstrate their English language skills through tests like the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or other approved alternatives.
