This crazy easy octopus craft uses a toilet paper roll and can be changed up and themed for all kinds of holidays and seasons of the year. With this red and pink theme it’s perfect for Valentines. You can pair it with a cute saying like “lots of legs… I mean lots of love!”
Materials Needed:
Toilet Paper Roll
Pink, Red and White Paint
Googley eyes
Glue
Scissors
Instructions
To create the octopus, cut the toilet paper roll on one end by cutting thin strips half way up the roll.
(See how here – we used a similar technique in creating a New Year’s Eve firework craft)
Use your hand to bend each of the strips outward and curl the ends up. These are the legs! You may
end up with more legs than a real octopus has , but that is fun!
Paint the octopus red, allow to dry.
Glue the eyes in place and paint or draw on a big smiley mouth!
Use the end of your paint brush to dab dots all over the legs in pink and white.
Decorate as desired , maybe attach a cute little Valentine note!
Isn’t he cute?

I absolutely adore this Valentine octopus craft! It’s such a creative and fun idea to use a toilet paper roll to create an adorable octopus. The pink, red, and white colors give it a perfect Valentine’s Day touch. The curled legs and googly eyes add so much character. Love it!
