The boys and I had fun making our own finger print monsters. This is a super simple activity using painted thumb or finger prints as a base for doodles.
This idea was inspired by the Massive Monster Activity Pack from Parragon which had been keeping them busy over the summer holidays. The pack contains 4 activity books and 500 stickers, all with a monster theme.
Inside one of the activity books (Monster Doodles) there’s a page with thumb prints where you can design your own monsters or “thumb things” so we decided to create some extra pages using our finger prints so that we could make even more of these cute little monsters.
Once your thumb or finger prints are dry, doodle and decorate the monsters any way you like. This is a great way for kids to use their creativity and it works for all ages.
With Halloween approaching, the monsters theme will be really suitable. You could use some of the stickers from the pack to decorate more monster pictures and crafts too.
One of the books within the pack is a reusable sticker book, with pages that allow you to peel off the stickers and reposition so make sure to keep some stickers for that! It kept my boys busy for a long time.
I hope you enjoy the monster fingerprint idea. Get hold of the entire Massive Monster Activity Pack for more – it’s available from Amazon here and is a great value set to keep kids busy.
