Earlier this week I shared a selection of Valentines crafts that kids can wear and mentioned that we had been making some Valentines glasses too. Well here they are! The kids loved this simple craft. It’s a perfect craft activity for after school, with very little mess but lots of fun.
To make these Valentines glasses we used supplies from Baker Ross. We love their range of foam glasses and the boys have made several different types of glasses using these.
We used:
- Heart foam glasses
- Love Bug Foam Stickers
- Self Adhesive Pom Poms
- Gem Self Adhesive strips (these are available in loads of different colours)
But the great thing about this activity is that you can decorate your glasses with whatever you have on hand, or whatever your kids prefer. I just grabbed these decorations from our stash of craft things, and since everything is self adhesive it was so easy and mess free. It made a lovely relaxing activity and we had so much fun together designing the glasses and chatting together as we crafted.
Peeling and sticking all of the stickers and decorations is good fine motor practise, but not too challenging for Z and T (5 and 6) so they were able to focus their efforts onto perfecting their designs.
Z was interested in making his design very symmetrical, and T was interested in making lots of striped patterns.
Once the glasses are made it’s always fun to wear them too!

We have been lucky enough to be sent some of the baker ross glasses and look forward to doing them tomorrow with my three year old. Some great designs!
Oh these are just super cute! My little girl is a real sticker fan, she’s 2 1/2 so going through the “sticker phase”. She would adore this activity and look like a right wally in the glasses. Definitely going to look into doing this! 🙂
They look great with the gems, I tried to persuade monkey to add some to his but he wanted a total love bug fest!
