The Summer holidays always goes by so quickly, and it’s time to start thinking about Back to School and make sure everything is ready. I can’t believe our girls are going into year 3 this year – time really does fly!

To get our back to school wardrobe essentials sorted, we browsed at Very.co.uk and I was so happy to find that I could get everything we needed all in one place.

Very have a great range of all the essential supplies you need for the kids going back to school from the school uniform, to shoes, coats, backpacks and more, with a good amount of choice and everything that we selected is great quality.

New school shoes is something I always like to prioritise for September so they start the year with a brand new pair of perfectly fitting shoes and look nice and smart, and I decided to try the Toe Zone brand at Very.

I’ve heard these highly recommended but haven’t tried the out before so I was really intrigued to give them a go, and they are such amazing value as the shoes I selected for N are not even 20 pounds!

The ToeZone shoes come with this draw string bag which is pretty handy and could easily double upas a PE bag.

She really likes these, and as the toe zone name suggests they are reinforced at the toes meaning if you have a child that drags their toes on their bike or scooter then the shoes have extra protection and will stay nicer for quite a bit longer.

We also got some black Clarks trainers which are really great. They are girly and cute but also extremely practical, so these are a fantastic choice for active little ones going back to school, or for use as PE trainers. It’s so convenient to be able to get all the trusted and well known brands like Clarks shoes directly from Very.

And they also have brands like Startrite, Lelli Kelli, Kickers and lots more so you can get everything you need.

They also have a lot of different branded coats like Tommy Hilfiger, New Look, or Very’s own Everyday range so you can choose whatever works with your budget.

We got the girls an Everyday coat and a New Look coat and both are fantastic quality that will really keep them warm as Autumn and Winter rolls in.

I also needed to get wellies, as we have a lot of Forest school and play based learning here in Wales, even into year 3 our school asked them to keep Wellies in school everyday so they can access the outdoors learning which is brilliant for the kids, so I got N a nice new pair of glittery wellies to take in.

Our kids did not need new backpacks this year, but if yours do, then you are going to find a lovely variety at Very too suitable for primary school kids and those going off to secondary school too. Again, they have plenty of the branded bags for those who prefer that – like my older boys in high school do.

Now that I have all the school uniform sorted, I can relax and enjoy the last bit of Summer knowing that they will be ready to go back to school in September with everything they need, looking smart and ready to learn.

If they are moving up to another year, then some of their previous clothes might still fit and be in good condition so you don’t necessarily have to replace everything, just check through and see what’s needed before the new school year.
