Making Christmas ornaments with kids is one of the best ways to embrace the holiday spirit. There’s something magical about creating keepsakes that you can hang on the tree year after year. And when you can combine that with a bit of eco-friendly crafting, it’s a win for everyone! This Toilet Paper Roll Star Ornament is the perfect way to turn a simple household item into a dazzling holiday decoration.
It’s easy, fun, and gives kids a chance to make something special while learning about reusing materials.

Supplies Needed for your TP Roll Star Ornament
Gathering supplies for this craft is as easy as raiding your recycling bin and grabbing a few basics from your craft stash.
You’ll need an empty toilet paper roll, a pair of sharp scissors, acrylic paint in your favorite colors, a paintbrush, a string or ribbon, a bead for a finishing touch, and some hot glue.
If you don’t already have these at home, they’re inexpensive and easy to find from any craft store or online from Amazon.

This craft is all about turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. By cutting and assembling a TP roll into a star shape, painting it in festive colors, and adding a bead and string, you’ll create a charming ornament that looks like it came straight from a Christmas market. The best part is that each one is unique, and kids can put their own creative spin on it by decorating the cardboard rolls however they like, once you finished assembling your star.
