Christmas can get busy with gifts, events, and all the excitement, but it is also a lovely chance to slow down and focus on kindness. This printable kindness advent calendar is a fun activity for kids and families to use throughout December, turning each day into a small opportunity to share kindness with others. Instead of chocolate or little toys, this kids advent calendar focuses on meaningful acts that help spread kindness and make the holiday season feel even more special.

About This Kindness Advent Calendar Activity
This printable advent calendar has lift-the-flap ornament pieces that children can color, cut, and glue onto the base page. Each ornament reveals an act of kindness underneath, so children can flip one open each day as a countdown to Christmas. It is a simple and engaging way to encourage random acts and help kids understand the true meaning of giving.

Christmas is a great time to focus on kindness because we are already thinking about family, community, and love during the holiday season. Turning those feelings into small daily actions can help children build habits that last long after December.

You can grab your free printable download at the end of the post.
How to Use This Printable Advent Calendar
Start by printing out both pages in the set. The sheet with numbered ornaments is for coloring and cutting, while the base page includes all the acts of kindness. Kids can spend time decorating each ornament however they like, using crayons, markers, or even adding extras like cotton balls, glitter glue, or washi tape.

Once they are coloured, cut out the printable ornaments and glue the top tab only so they lift up like little calendar doors. Display the finished advent calendar somewhere easy to reach such as the fridge, wall, or a bedroom door. From December 1st through the Christmas countdown, flip one ornament each day and complete the kindness activity beneath.
You can begin opening the first little door on the calendar on December 1st, but start earlier with making it so you can have it prepared and ready to go! Just like any regular advent calendar there are 24 doors to see you all the way to Christmas Eve.
Opening the kindness activity daily is a lovely activity to add to your family routine this Christmas season. Not only is it a fun decoration but it’s one of those family activities that really makes a difference and goes towards raising kind, considerate children. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays!
