Creating a reindeer hairstyle for your little one is a fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday season! Whether it’s for a Christmas party, crazy hair day at school, or a special visit to see Santa, this adorable reindeer bun is quick, easy, and sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

How to Make Rudolph the Reindeer Hair for Christmas
Here’s how to recreate this festive look at home.
Start by forming a bun using a hair donut.

If you don’t already have a hair donut you can buy these very cheaply on sites like Amazon and they are reusable, so you can make this hair style and similar ones multiple times with the same donuts.
Gather all the hair into a pony tail and then push that whole pony tail through the hair donut.

Spread out the hair to cover the donut, and then take the excess hair and wrap it neatly around the donut, and secure it in place with bobby pins or a hair tie.
To give it a festive touch, we used a Santa scrunchie wrapped around the base of the bun.

For the centerpiece of your reindeer bun, add a red nose! You can easily make this by hot-gluing a red pom-pom onto a bobby pin. Simply slide the bobby pin into the center of the bun.
For the eyes, you can use pre-made bobby pins with eyes already attached. We got ours from SHEIN, but you can also make your own using googly eyes or felt circles glued onto bobby pins. Position the eyes by sliding the pins downward into the bun to give your reindeer a cute and cheerful expression.
Finally, complete the look with antlers! Glittery antler clips or bobby pins with an antler shape attached work perfectly. Place these at the top of the bun, with the bobby pins going straight across for a secure hold.
To keep everything sleek and tidy, use a hair wax stick to tame any flyaways.

This hairstyle is suitable for girls with hair long enough to wrap around a donut bun. The hair donut provides plenty of volume, so even medium-length hair works well. My daughter, who is seven, loves this style because it’s quick – taking less than five minutes to create – and stays intact all day at school. It’s perfect for busy mornings when you need a festive look in a flash.

Whether you’re heading to a Christmas outing, meeting Santa, or feeding the reindeer at a holiday farm, this reindeer hairstyle is guaranteed to bring extra joy to the occasion.
The whole effect can be appreciated most from the back, but from the front you’ll have the reindeer antlers popping up and visible, too
