This printable soldier craft works beautifully as a Veterans Day activity in November, but it can also be used throughout the year for topics like community helpers, Armed Forces Day in May, or as a Memorial Day or 4th July activity when learning about heroes and service. It’s a great way to start conversations about bravery, teamwork, and gratitude for those who serve.

Why We Love This Soldier Craft

This activity encourages focus, cutting, and gluing skills while giving kids a hands-on way to celebrate our veterans. You can print the pieces onto cardstock to make the soldier sturdier, or use regular paper for an easier cut.

Some kids like to mount their finished soldier onto a popsicle stick to make a standing character or puppet. It’s a fun way to extend the project and use it for small world play or storytelling.
