Grown up colouring pages are a huge craze right now. I love to colour these detailed pages to unwind and relax. Since the other grown up colouring page printables that we shared here on In The Playroom have been so popular, I knew I had to offer some more : starting with these zentangle inspired colouring pages.
These are not only great for adults, but appeal to kids too and are a great way to practise focus and concentration. You can colour them collaboratively with the kids too, which is what you see in the picture below (jointly coloured by me and T, age 5)
If you haven’t heard of Zentangle, it’s a free flowing way of drawing involving filling patterns into each section of your drawing or doodle, which gives the work structure although you may start off with no pre-conceived idea of how your page is going to end up. It can also be considered a non verbal way of journalling and a type of meditation. Read more about the history of Zentangle on the zentangle.com website.
Print this zentangle colouring page to colour and maybe it will inspire you to have a go at your own zentangles too if this is something you haven’t yet tried. If you enjoy detailed colouring, you will probably enjoy zentangle too!
