Every year as World Book Day comes around and children get ready for the dressing up day at school it’s lovely to see the variety of costumes at the school gates, and friends pictures on Facebook. Whether home made or shop bought, based on a newly created book character or an old classic.
The boys were sent a costume each from George at Asda from their range of dressing up outfits which are suitable for World Book Day, and they have had a lot of fun dressing up in them.
The costumes seen above from left to right are:
All of these are available from George at Asda for £12.50 each, along with many more.
The iron man costume has light and sounds on the front panel, and comes with a face mask which completes the costume really well.
Batman has padded muscles, and a face mask attached to the cape. I love R in this costume, it is just so cute! He jumps around and the cape flies behind him, he looks adorable. He would happily wear this all day every day – nevermind just for world book day!
This pirate costume is Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed, and comes with a hat and a foam sword. There are various other pirate costumes available on the George site. We felt this one works quite well for Captain Hook.
I could not get T to stand still for the photo. He was having a bit too much fun with the costume!
The boys love their costumes. They will get plenty of use all year round for imaginary play and dressing up at home, as well as being suited to World Book Day. I think they are great value, and I’m pretty impressed with the range available and prices from Asda. I’m sure I will buy some more in future to add to their collection.

They all look great in their costumes and I can’t believe what amazing value they were. I’ll definitely have to check out the costumes in Asda next time I go.
That pirate costume is amazing – LP loves pirates and would adore that costume! x
