Does your child absolutely love dinosaurs? If so, a dinosaur birthday party is sure to be a hit.
I write about activities for boys and boys’ learning and know that dinosaurs are a very popular topic! Anna asked me to find some fun dinosaur birthday activities and I was happy to see what I could dig up (a little dinosaur humor there.)
I have included dinosaur activities that are messy and others that are not. Some you can do outside if the weather is right, and activities that are great for indoor fun.
Throwing a Dinosaur Birthday Party need not be a hassle—really! Use a few of these activities, pair them with something fun to eat, and everyone is sure to have a great time.
My oldest boy, Mr Z, turned 5 years old over the weekend! Of course that involved lots of fun and lots of presents. To make a couple of his presents extra special, I had been sent some personalised wrapping paper to try out and review from Paper Themes.
I have previously reviewed one of their Personalised posters, and they have quite a good range of personalised stationary. I had a look through all the wrapping paper designs and chose the airplanes theme. It comes as one sheet (50 x 70 cm) with 2 gift tags and you chose the name you would like to be included.
Here’s the paper before it has been wrapped. It is a lovely tasteful design, you can see the name there written in white with “Happy birthday Z….” as if coming out of the smoke of the airplane!
Here are some of the presents wrapped. The amount of paper on the sheet was enough to wrap two gifts.
For those who are interested, inside is his Finding Nemo presents!
The quality of the paper is very good, its not thin and cheap at all but a decent thickness and nicely printed. I would recommend the paper for any gift that you would like to make that little bit extra special. For example it would be lovely when having to send something in the post if you are not able to see someone on their special day, as it shows just that extra bit of thought and attention to detail. They have various designs that are suitable for both adults and chiildren so it is definitely worth having a look. I wouldn’t say wrap very large presents in it, or all of the presents as it will add up a bit pricewise. It is more for a special gift when you want to make something stand out!
If you would like the chance to win a Paper Themes Voucher so that you can buy some personalised paper for yourself, and loads more stationary goodies then pop over to ET Speaks from Home blog where my friend Eileen is holding a fantastic competition to win a £50 Voucher! Here
Big Little Tent Festival was created last year during lockdown, since we aren’t able to be out there exploring just now, Caravan Club came up with this idea to allow families to have fun and continue the excitement of camping at home. The festival aims to bring the great outdoors to you – in the […]
Sink or float is one of the most popular classic science experiments for kids. It’s so easy to set up, and a great way to introduce them to basic experiments at home. This fun twist on the classic experiment uses surprise eggs to add another element of fun to the activity. This sink or float […]
Every child is different, and with these varied personalities and interests you will need different toys to best keep your child occupied and entertained. Recently, I was having this discussion with one of my mum groups about which toys are most used by our 4 year olds these days and it was really interesting to […]
Kaleidoscope Have fun making this Kaleidoscope craft with the kids. This simple kaleidoscope works best when it is held up to the light. Move the tube around to see the pretty colours, glitter and sequins dance around. What is a Kaleidoscope? A kaleidoscope (/kəˈlaɪdəskoʊp/) is an optical instrument with two or more reflecting surfaces tilted […]
We have all been stuck indoors for a while so it is always good to have some ideas of how to keep the little ones entertained during lockdown. We still have only a few months to go until things go back to normal – hopefully – so read on to get some inspiration. Anna and […]
It’s fantastic to see World Book Day grow year on year, teaching children about the joys of reading in a fun and playful way and getting them to engage with characters and literature is an amazing idea and it’s fantastic it has become so successful here in the UK. Truly highlighting the joys of reading […]
If you are a parent and like me struggles to come up with ideas to keep the little ones entertained read on. To be honest I think even the most creative parents are running out of options of what to do with the kids after all these lockdowns and time off school. It is hard […]
