Children’s creativity is endless! They have the imagination to dream up the wackiest and most inventive ideas, and at times during our busy lifestyles, we do not always take the time to marvel at their thoughts and creations. In partnership with Cheshire Artificial Grass, we set up a Facebook competition to celebrate the inspiring minds of our children.
Outdoor play and creative thinking are essential for child development. Our aim was to encourage children to unleash their creative skills and help get children more engaged with their garden (the place where outdoor play comes alive).
To enter the competition, children were asked to design their dream garden and send in their artistic creations to be in with a chance to win an arts and craft set.
We were fortunate to have so many amazing entries and every one of them deserved a prize but unfortunately, there could only be one winner.
Although one lucky child won an arts and craft set, we did not want the other children’s artistic creations to go unnoticed!

Evelyn’s Garden
This garden is full to the brim with trees! We really liked how Evelyn pictured her garden filled with nature and lots of green (the greener the better)! We would like to thank Evelyn for her lovely drawing and entering the competition.
The Lovely Garden
This entry was by a little girl who drew a garden filled with flowers, hearts, and sunshine! We really liked the blue skies and green grass but most importantly, all the love that this garden is filled with! Thank you very much for sharing your lovely garden with us.
Grace’s Vegetable Garden
Grace’s garden is overflowing with all different aspects of nature. She has flowers, vegetables, fruit, animals, and a water feature. WOW, what an exciting garden to imagine. We loved how she incorporated all these elements into one beautiful artistic creation of a dream garden. Well done Grace and thank you for sharing this with us.
Playhouse Garden
In this little girl’s dream garden, we see her Daddy building her a playhouse in the sunshine. What a charming idea for a dream garden and is something to be celebrated. Spending time with family is important as well as getting your hands dirty and playing! We love it and hope you enjoy all the fun times in your playhouse. Thank you for entering the competition!
Ada’s Adventure Garden
Ada’s has packed her dream garden with lots fun things to look at and play with. She has a trampoline, a pink shed, a sandpit, a slide, and a pond with lots of red fish all surround by grass and flowers. What an incredible garden that you wouldn’t get bored in! Thank you for contribution, it has really brightened our day.
Natalia’s Forest
Inspired by a forest she used to visit in summertime, Natalia has created a garden which is filled with everything she loved about it. We love everything about it; the blue skies, green grass, rainbows, all the tall trees and colourful flowers which homed many different creatures. This dream garden is imaginative and magical and really puts a smile on your face. Thank you for getting involved!
Isla’s Garden
Isla garden shows her and her Mum when she was a little girl playing in the garden. Overspilling with colours, you can tell her dream garden is all about spending time with her family and enjoying all that nature brings. A lovely dream garden and thank you Isla for sharing it with us.

Here we have the winner, Natasha with her dream back garden. Jam-packed with colour and excitement its clear to see why this one was voted the best.
