If you were unsure about the importance of life insurance, I am sure that 2020 changed your mind. This was the year of uncertainties. This year tested us and put us through a lot of stress and some of us directly affected had to deal with a whole lot of pain…and sometimes the loss of a loved one. It has been tough and scary. In this article we will bring to you some important points about making the decision to have life insurance.

We always want to keep our family safe. Our entire life we work hard to make sure we can provide the best to the ones we love. But life is unexpected and full of surprises, and they are not always good ones. As we approach the end of 2020 we see hope. December is filled with festive cheer and we can’t help but expect better and brighter days in 2021.

2020 shook all of us. We felt the power of the unexpected in our bones. We are still confused and trying to understand what is going on and where do we go from here. We don’t know where we are going to be in the next few months. Jobs were lost. Businesses gone and lives were lost.

If you have ever considered doing a life insurance, now is probably a good time to act on it. To do your research and figure what is in your and your family’s best interest. But honestly, do not waste any more time wondering. This is the time to make a decision. This is the time to protect your family when the unexpected hits you.

If you have decided to arrange life insurance for your family, take a look at Protect Line – one of the UK’s largest life insurance brokers. With over 250 staff across offices in Bournemouth and London, they speak to thousands of people every day to set up policies with the top insurers. With over 27,000 five-star reviews on Trustpilot and multiple awards including ‘Best Protection Insurance Broker’ and ‘Treating Customers Fairly Champion’ they are a trusted and well respected company in the industry, protecting British families from financial hardships after the unexpected since 2010.

I grew up in Brazil and life insurance is a taboo topic. Anything related to death is treated as something you just do not talk about so it took me sometime to understand the need and the importance of having life insurance. My husband is English and he was probably the first person that I have ever had an open and honest conversation about what happens if one of us dies. We have a young daughter so more than a silly taboo topic, this is real life and it can happen anytime to anyone. So we might as well let go of these old fashioned ways of facing death and become pragmatic towards it.

Do not waste anymore time thinking if you should or not get life insurance for your family. Take a good look at 2020 and you will see that life can be uncertain and extremely fragile. Be proactive and so you won’t be sorry.

  1. Thank you for explaining this so well! I’ve recently started investing with a group and they were pushing this whole life insurance on me so hard… I knew it was because they were making good money on it. They were downright rude when I turned it down, but you explained it way better and more truthful then they did.
