Christmas is just around the corner, and if you’re still thinking about what to buy to finish off your Christmas shopping, here are some brilliant Christmas present ideas for kids. We have put together a collection of toys, and other gift ideas, with something for everyone so I hope you can find an idea to inspire you.

Learning Resources have lovely range called Design & Drill Bolt Buddies which is aimed at children aged 3-7, and is ideal for fine motor skills as well as imaginary play. The Rocket is really cute and the box is reusable. Turn it inside out and use it as a backdrop for the set. The set comes with and Astronaut Buddy and her co-pilot Space Dog Buddy Rover, and a working power drill that kids use to piece it all together.

Artie 3000

Artie 3000 the Coding Robot for kids programming introduces children to real programming languages. You design the code and Artie 3000 draws the lines. Learn to code and get drawing with STEAM-style robotics to create visual masterpieces. If you can code it, Artie 3000 can draw it. This robot is a great hands on toy for kids of around 7-11 years old and recently won a Toy Industries of Europe Play For Change Award in the Future Skills category.

This is a great game for all the family, including interactive elements such as actual clips from the BBC Earth TV series. During the game, you will be challenged on your trivia knowledge, relating to all of the animals and facts from within the show. This is perfect to build up knowledge and and passion for animals and our natural world.

Hotwires Set 

This fun STEM set from John Adams includes over 100 exciting experiments using snap together electronics. The projects to make include light, sound and movement – from lie detectors to voice recorders, or release a flying disk that shoots up to the sky. This is a great toy as it offers lots of learning opportunities as well as being so much fun.

The Quick Link

Suitable for ages 7+, The Quick Link is a fast and furious, word party game for the whole family where players race to use their squeaky suction cup sticks to snap up words that are logically related! Steiff are well known for their collectable teddy bears range, and for kids of 3+ their Cosy range is perfect. We. chose the Lauscher Rabbit which is one of the softest stuffed animals we’ve ever seen. The quality with Steiff cuddly toys is so high, and this cute rabbit can not fail to make you smile. Each one comes with the famous Steiff tag and button in the ear.

LEGO Super Mario Adventures Starter Course

LEGO and Super Mario are two of the coolest kids brands, so I was excited to see what their sets would be like and this Starter course is a brilliant set, which will definitely keep the kids busy and happy at Christmas as they can create their own Mario game set ups within this LEGO world. The set includes an interactive Mario figure which gives instant expressive reactions via the LCD screen and speakers. There is also an app that you can use along with the set, making it a great combination of tech and traditional play. To expand the possibilities even more, you can get some the expansion packs from the same range.

Paw Patrol is one of the most sought after brands at the moment, with my 3 year old and her friends. Kids of this age group will be so happy to find the Paw Patrol Dino Rescue Patroller under the tree.
