Sports Direct may not be the first place you’d think of to look for presents, but once you get browsing, they may surprise you! It’s not only football boots and bargain trainers (although with three footy mad boys in our house, those don’t go a miss either!) but there’s quite a wide range of casual clothes, loads of sports themed accessories, and even toys.
We were challenged to find Christmas gifts from Sportsdirect for just £5 or under, and I managed to pick up quite a few things for the kids.
As I mentioned, all three boys are into football in a big way at the moment. T in particular is a massive Arsenal fan, and has been wanting to get all kinds of Arsenal memorabilia. Anything with Arsenal on it, it’s pretty much going to be a guaranteed hit!
So I was quite pleased with this Arsenal stationary kit and fidget spinner, as he’ll love both of these and the prices are great! It’s nice to be able to get lots of little extras to add to their presents, but with the items still being something useful rather than just buying “tat” (He’ll use the stationary bits at school, and is still into the fidget spinner craze)
I also got him an Arsenal backpack from Sports Direct, although it was slightly over the fiver challenge at eight pounds, I’m really pleased with it as he’s been asking for one and I hadn’t been able to find a good one with the side pockets for the water bottle so it was a real bargain.
I also find Sports Direct really good for bargain kids and baby clothes, particularly if you like character clothing. I’ve got Mario t-shirts for £4 which will be perfect for Z, and I’ve got cute Hello Kitty and Minnie Mouse outfits for N.
The quality of these is very good, and you can pay so much more for character clothing elsewhere so it’s great value. Character clothing, or sports clothing that the kids are into, is always good as an extra present as it’s practical and will get so much use but is still something that they will enjoy having so you get the best of both there.
Finally the last present I bought for under five pounds was a Frozen bubble wand for baby N. She loves bubbles, and the big bubble wands always make great bubbles so that was great for just 1 pound!
