Ninjago is definitely one of our favourite LEGO shows, and with the new Lego Ninjago movie set to come out later this year, we were excited to go along to Legoland Windsor and check out the new Lego Ninjago World that’s been added for 2017!

The highlight of the new Lego Ninjago World has to be the new Ninjago Ride. This ride is a 4D interactive ride where you travel around shooting baddies with a flick of your hand, to gain as many points as possible.

My boys loved this ride, and went on it twice, improving their scores each time. It’s the first time we’ve been on a 4D ride like this, and I was impressed with the graphics and the concept of it. It’s something a bit different, and is a lot of fun!

To ride unaccompanied, kids need to be a minimum of 1.3m tall, but shorter children can ride as long as an adult is with them, and with four seats in a row I was able to take three kids on at once which makes life easy.

QBot is available for the ride (which we were able to use so I can’t give queue times for the day we went) As it’s a new ride it is of course popular so I’d recommend going at opening time and heading straight for this ride to reduce queueing, but a friend of mine went the day after we did and only queued for half an hour which is very reasonable. There are plenty of interactive features in the queuing area to make the wait a bit more interesting too.

Other ninja training challenges in the new Ninjago world include Kai’s Spinners, Jays Lightning Drill and Zane’s Temple Build.

You also won’t want to miss the new Ninjago Portal of Power live show which takes place several times a day on the stage in miniland. We always enjoy watching the shows in the park, as it gives you some variety from the rides, and this one is a fairly short show that’s interactive and suits all ages.

If you’re a fan of the LEGO Batman movie, then don’t miss your chance for meet and greet and photos with LEGO Batman too! The area in the Imagination Centre that used to be the gaming zone has been expanded into a larger building zone and there’s a dedicated red carpet for Lego Batman. It has the Bat sign projected from the sky too which is a nice touch!

We’re really looking forward to watching the new Lego Ninjago movie when it comes out, and meanwhile we would definitely recommend a visit to Legoland to check out the new Ninjago World!

  1. It seem to be really exciting and I bet my son would really love it. However I can’t experience it in real as I stay in a different part of the world. I am planning to take my kid to a famous Theme Park (Adlabs Imagica) on coming week.
Thanks for the share as it was really good to know.
