Ravensburger Funny Bunny Game Review

Ravensburger Funny Bunny is a fun family game suitable for children of around 5 years old and over. It’s not a typical board game, as the board is not flat. Instead, players race up a 3d hill that’s constantly changing and is full of surprise holes to trap your bunnies!

We played this game with children aged 4, 6 and 7 and they all enjoyed playing Funny Bunny.

Inside the box, you get the 3d hill game board, 4 bunnies per player (for up to four players), 24 playing cards, and the instruction leaflet.

The top of the hill has a big carrot, this carrot rotates to change up the board and result in different holes popping up on different areas of the board. This adds to the excitement of the game as you think your bunny is safe, but if someone picks a twist the carrot card everything can change!

To play the game, each player must race to get their bunnies up from the bottom of the hill, right to the carrot at the top. Each player will have four bunnies, so if you lose a couple on the way it doesn’t matter as maybe one of your other bunnies will still win. You move the bunny by picking a card which will tell you how many spaces to go, unless you pick a rotate the carrot card.

My boys all enjoyed the suspense and surprise element of the changing board with this game, as well as the racing element. The rules are simple to follow and all three of them grasped it easily and quickly. Each game takes around half an hour to complete.

The Ravensburger Funny Bunny game is well made and should last well. It’s different to any other board games we already have at home, and I would recommend it to families with children of around 5+. It will be a great addition to your family game collection.
