It’s the 20th anniversary of Toy Story this year! Doesn’t that make you feel old?! I remember it first coming out when I was in primary school, and it doesn’t seem so long ago! Toy Story is one of those great movies that has really stood the test of time and kids these days love it just as much as we did back in the 90s.
We were sent a couple of new Toy Story toys to review, and the kids have been having plenty of fun with them. The Disney Toy Story Rocket Blast Buzz and Bull Ridin’ Woody are both large toys that would be great as a Christmas gift for any Toy Story fan.
Toy Story Rocket Blast Buzz
Toy Story Rocket Blast Buzz is probably my boys’ favourite of the two toys, since Buzz is their favourite Toy Story character. This toy is just like the one in the movies, featuring over 30 sounds and phrases along with 6 coloured lights, moveable limbs and plenty of detail. His helmet can open and close, and this Buzz Lightyear toy stands at 12″ tall.
Buzz comes with a jetpack that attaches to his back, and the lights in this are great as they glow out really well from the “flame” part at the bottom of his jetpack.
Disney Toy Story Rocket Blast Buzz is available for around RRP 49.99 and is suitable for ages 3+. My 4 year old loved this toy the most, but my 5 and 7 year olds also enjoy playing with it.

Toy Story Bull Ridin’ Woody
We all love Woody, Andy’s loyal and long time favourite toy. Now you can have your own large sized Woody (12″) complete with his own bull.
This Woody toy also comes with over 30 sounds and can detect whether or not it is sitting on the bull, to give the appropriate phrases. Pull the bulls tail, and it will wobble around while Woody is sitting.
Woody comes with the bull, and also has his hat which is removable and a lasso that he can hold, or tuck into his belt strap. When you push the button in his back, he’ll move around his arm as though he is lassoing.
Woody can stand up independently from the bull, although is sometimes hard to balance, but my kids were happy that it can stand by itself.

The Buzz and Woody toys make a great pair together, as kids can use them to re-enact parts of the movies and make up their own stories too. They’re sure to be a hit with any Toy Story fans.

Great review. My kids love Toy Story, especially Buzz & Woody! These toys look fun to play with both boys and girls. They’re a tad bit pricey for my liking but hey (:
