If your kids are big fans of a certain sport, then using that can be a great way to get them interested in craft activities or educational activities. For little ones who are keen on rugby, get them making these simple foam coasters as a gift for their loved ones. The coasters can be personalised and are so easy to make.
We made these rugby coasters using a set from Baker Ross. You can buy these in packs of 6 (works out at 66p a coaster) or 18 (works out at 60p a coaster) and the pack will come with multiple colours (blue, green and red) so you can pick the one that best matches with the team your child supports, or the person they are making the coaster for.
Below is all you need to make one coaster: the foam coaster base, and a pack of foam rugby stickers.
As you can see, the coaster base has spaces marked out so it’s easy for your child to line up the stickers in straight lines and get an even pattern. In the big space, you can add the large white space on which you can write the name to personalise the coaster. Or try adding a fun message like I love rugby!
This is a super simple, quick and easy craft, but peeling and sticking the stickers is a good fine motor activity and getting them in the right places can take concentration for little ones.
I’m sure the recipient of the coaster will love the end result!
