Smashers Collectables Review & Giveaway

My boys are all very active and love sports, especially football (2 Arsenal supporters and one Man City supporter!) and they also tend to love little collectable pocket money toys, so when I heard about the new sports themed collectables from Zuru, I was sure they would be interested!

Smashers are fun little characters, each with a sports theme and to find out which character you have inside you have to smash the balls that they come in.

These are some of the smashers that my boys have collected so far…

…and we were also sent the Smash bus which stores up to 50 smashers characters, and comes with two rare exclusives, which they were very happy to add to their collection.

The bus is a great addition as it helps keep them all nice and tidy, and it opens out into a sports pitch with goals to shoot the characters into

With these type of collectables, I find my kids love the anticipation of finding out which one is inside, and then they love the swapping and trading amongst each other. Smashing the balls open first adds an extra element of fun to this, which is quite different to other types of collectables that are normally in blind bags, and it links in with the sports theme really nicely.

Smashers will suit kids from around age 4-10 (my boys are 6, 8 and 9) and there are over 100 to collect! They are available from retailers including Argos, and The Entertainer

  1. The bus is a great idea to keep the Smashers in, should hopefully save finding them all over the house! My stepdaughter is mad on horse riding!

  2. My boy would love to try these, they look awesome and he has seen them on the adverts. He’s not massively into playing sport himself but does love a bit of rock climbing and follows football with his friends!

  4. My daughter would love to give these a go! She’s mostly into playing football at the mo, but is young enough that she’s not yet tried many sports xx

  5. Our girls love playing football and tennis (not that I would say their swinging isn’t detrimental to my greenhouse). They love anything they can collect and for me that’s great as it allows me to offer them rewards (bribes) for good behaviour.
