Ravensburger The Teacher 500 Piece Puzzle

The Teacher  is a 500 piece puzzle from Ravensburger, in the Happy Days at Work collection. This is quite a simple puzzle for adults, or a more challenging puzzle for older kids, so is quite versatile.

Here’s the finished puzzle picture above. I somehow managed to lose the last piece – arrgh! Very frustrating, but I still enjoyed completing the puzzle, and managed this one quite quickly. Being a 500 piece puzzle, it’s an ideal one to do in just one or two days, if you can’t spare your dining table for a larger puzzle project.

The picture is in a traditional style, and is the tenth in a series of nostalgic puzzles looking back at jobs and professions. Set in the early 1960s, our scene shows a primary school teacher and her class but there’s plenty of things in it which remind me of my own school days in the early 90s, and many of the things are even still found in primary schools today!

There’s plenty of detail in the puzzle picture, with kids artwork displays up on the wall behind the children, and the well stocked book case with the book covers facing outwards for you to put together.

It’s colourful with plenty of variety in the colours, and patterns, which makes it not too tricky to complete. The hardest parts of it would be the brownish sections of desks, table legs and wall / floor but overall it’s pretty simple and definitely very manageable for someone newer to doing puzzles, or looking for a relaxing puzzle to complete.

As with all Ravensburger puzzles, the pieces are good quality and well made. They don’t bend, or tear if you’ve accidentally placed them in wrongly, so they can withstand plenty of use and will all still look as good as new after the puzzle has been made and then dismantled to go back in the box.

I’ve enjoyed this puzzle and would definitely look out for some of the others in the Happy Days at Work series, as they’re great relaxing puzzles to do.

  1. Ahh, I almost forgot what a completed puzzle looks like! We have twin girl toddlers and for some reason decided to get a puzzle to “relax” at night. Now it’s been sitting on our dining room table for months…but the border is almost complete!
