We’ve been renovating parts of our house recently, adding a loft conversion and refitting the kitchen and bathrooms. While it’s amazing to have these freshly renovated spaces, it definitely highlights the things that still need doing elsewhere in the home! I’ve been looking at adding some extra features and cute details to give a little boost and refresh to some other areas of our home, particularly the garden and living room.

The garden is my first priority, with Summer here already. I’m hoping to get our garden totally re-done within the next couple of months, and had a look at some garden decor and accessories from Uncommon Goods.

unique features for the home and garden from UncommonGoods an ethical sustainable store with handmade and recycled items

Uncommon Goods is a privately-owned retailer, founded in Brooklyn USA in 1999 that endeavors to feature unique jewelry, designer décor, tabletop items, and handcrafted gifts created in harmony with the environment without harm to animals or people. I’d only come across this site recently, but they have a great range of products as well as being an ethical company. The range of children’s items is really impressive too – that will be something for me to browse more once I’ve sorted the house out!

Some of the items that caught my eye for the garden were these glass bubbles, and these stepping stone dominoes.

Both of these are beautiful and playful, as well as being really unique and not something I’ve seen anywhere else.

As for inside the house, our living area could also benefit from a few changes to make it feel bright and new again. A few new decorative accents, or even a couple of new throws or pillows can really liven things up.

I liked these stylish and quirky pillows and cushions..

And this succulent living wall planter kit is a great way to bring the garden back into the home

Take a look on the UncommonGoods website and see what catches your eye!
