Soreen Lunchbox Loaves

I’ve always been a fan of malt loaf. It’s so squidgy and delicious, and is such a handy food to have in the house. Now with Soreen Lunchbox loaves it’s even handier as it comes in individually wrapped portions which are great for kids lunch boxes, picnics or after school snacks.

The Soreen lunchbox loaves come in original flavour and banana flavour – both of which taste great! My kids prefer the original ones, whereas my husband is a big fan of the banana.

With both flavours I find they fill you up (or the kids) quite well, while only being 95 calories per loaf and they feel like a treat while still meeting the government nutritional standards for schools (and are Mum Panel approved as well!)

My kids don’t have packed lunches every day at school, but if they’re on a school trip then they’ll need to take a lunch in. Since it’s something a bit rarer for them, they’re especially keen to get treats in their lunch boxes but I don’t want to send them in with a box full of chocolates and cakes (nor would their school be happy, I’m sure!) so I find the Soreen lunch box loaf is quite a good compromise to keep us all satisfied and I made sure to pack them this week as my eldest was taking his packed lunch to go and visit the Museum of London.

I also find they come in handy for an after school snack, as often the boys will come home feeling a bit peckish and want something to keep them going until dinner time. Lunch box loaves are just the right size for this.
