With Christmas coming up, there will hopefully be plenty of presents changing hands! It’s always nice to send a little thank you card after the festive season to let friends and family know that their gifts have been appreciated.
Colour Graphics offer the option of ordering your own personally designed greeting cards (and business cards too if you’re also in need of those!) so we’ve teamed up with them to offer one lucky In The Playroom reader the chance to win a set of 25 thank you cards of their choice.
You can check out the greeting cards option on the Colour Graphics website here. Each card is made from 350gsm Silk Card, and you can upload your own design. They give you a few handy hints to keep in mind when uploading the design to make sure it comes out looking at it’s best, like making sure the dimensions and resolution of your images are suitable.
For thank you cards, if it’s for a present for the kids, a nice idea could be to show a picture of them playing with their new toy or gift, or for a baby show put a nice photograph of them maybe wearing their new outfit or snuggled up with their new teddy – whatever it is! You could also use a nice festive family photograph for all of your thank you cards, whatever design suits you the best.

I still try to get mine to write thank you notes to relatives and adult friends, it’s not an easy task these days though, when I was a child it was expected of you, but people do love to receive them!
Mine are too little to write thank you notes themselves yet at aged 3 & 1, so I like to get pre-printed ones with a christmassy photo of them.
My three share the thank you card writing, the older two write them and the youngest adds her name! Such a nice touch to recieve a thank you card
Thank you cards are always useful…nice giveaway !
I love to send thank you notes to the family for gifts, I know it really makes my Nan’s day to get correspondence from the kids. Plus my son loves writing at the moment, so i’ll get them to do it while he’s still interested!

Maybe Xmas ‘thank you’ cards will replace the traditional cards that people are stopping sending each other BEFORE xmas…or was that only me? 😉 hehe! x

I would love these cards to thank people for their lovely Christmas presents
We always send thank you cards for Christmas presents, though my youngest just draws a picture and signs her name at the moment as she cannot write independently yet. Great giveaway!
While I am making the Boxing Day buffet for family and friends I insist that my 2 sons have to write thank you cards (at the kitchen table so I can see) to everybody who gave them a present regardless size/cost. Some need to be posted, so I need to do the address and stamp. Some can be given to whoever when they leave the buffet. I believe that cards are the best even though I was asked why they couldn’t just e-mail – NOOOO.
I find myself writing so many thank you cards on behalf of my children. I love the idea of the however I am looking forward to the day when they are old enough to write them themselves!
I think it is very important that children should learn to say or write “thank you” for gift they receive. I know that I am always very happy when I get a thank-you note, even if it is very brief!
I love it when I get thank you cards from my grandchildren
My daughter and I love making thank you cards together. She loves anything creative so would love to share these with her 🙂 x

An OAP on a tight budget I find the cost of postage rather prohibitive and therefore although I enjoy sending and receiving cards and thank you letters I don’t send as many as when I was working.
I love sending cards through “snail mail” (2 Christmas cards turned up in April last year – they were only for Christmas 2014 lol). Now I am working again, I am writing more and more. Car boot sales and January sales are my friends again. 🙂
I always send thank you cards on behalf of my little girl and as she gets older I will encourage her to do it herself

my son always sends thank you cards x
I think thank you cards are a great way for kids to show their appreciation of gifts – so many times kids have 100s of pressies they rip into the paper and thats it no thought or anything – by taking the time to write out the cards it gives them a more appreciative outlook – well i think so and it shows people that they are grateful for the pressies
Thank you cards are really thoughtful.
I think thank you cards are important 🙂
I think thank you cards are important. However, I was so disorganised this year, I forgot to do any.
We had a lovely christmas. Could have done with a week more!
It’s lovely to receive a thank you card.
For Christmas Eve we traveled to the in-laws, we spent Christmas at home, then boxing day traveled to my parents. I love sending thank you cards. Whilst it seems old fashioned I think it’s much more heart felt than a quick email or text.
I love receiving thank you cards as it shows true gratitude for presents, especially after weddings as you tend to spend more on gifts for friends/family starting their new lives together
In the days of email I know that is the preferred way of communication that a lot of people, including me, like. But I do like a real thank you card
My little ones are too young to write thank you cards so I write them for them.
this is actually a timely reminder that I need to get my (and the kids) thank you cards out for their christmas gifts. x
