Christmas Menu at Beefeater

Beefeater is always a good option for a family friendly meal with traditional food that suits all the generations. We were invited along recently to try out this year’s Christmas menu, at our local Uxbridge Beefeater which is newly opened with a really spacious clean and modern look.

The restaurant is nicely decorated for Christmas and I really liked how they even decorate the tables with Christmas crackers so that you can get into the festive spirit during your meal, with party hats and christmas cracker jokes!

Along with the usual colouring, these also help to keep the kids happy and occupied while waiting for the food (which didn’t take long to arrive anyway)

We had pre-ordered our food, and everyone enjoyed their meals with traditional options like roast turkey and yorkshire puddings, and a good choice of vegetarian options on the adults menu too. The children’s meal option comes with pigs in blankets on the menu, but as we don’t eat pork we asked not to include that and there was no problem with making that modification.

The kids and adults portions are both quite generous sizes, so the kids portion will suit even older kids and you won’t be left hungry at all after your meal!

For the vegetarian options, we got the red pepper and butternut squash tart…

… and the grilled salmon fillet with prawn and lobster sauce

We had also had starters of classic prawn cocktail, and crispy flat cap mushrooms, which I forgot to photograph but were all tasty. I used to eat prawn cocktail every christmas at home and you don’t see it many places now so I really liked having the chance to eat that since it’s quite nostaligic!

The dessert options were also good, with plenty of choice available. We got the mince pie brownie which is served with mince pie ice cream, caramel & chocolate sauce and looks really festive and lovely with sparkly stars on it

And the kids were happy with their ice cream sundaes too.

They also got balloons brought over part way through the meal which is always a fun touch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to the children, which we’ve found when we’ve been to Beefeater on other occasions too. You do always feel welcome and relaxed visiting as a family.

I much prefer restaurants which are relaxed and family friendly, with quick and friendly service, and plenty of space to spread out without feeling like you’re packed in too close to other diners. Beefeater scores highly on all of these for me!

The festive menu is available with 2 Courses for 15.99 or 3 Courses for 19.49, and kids festive menu at 6.99 and you can book your meal now.

Check the Beefeater website to find your nearest Beefeater and take a look though the festive menu
