Imaginext have a great range of imaginary play toys for children. My youngest, R age 5, has an ever growing collection of Imaginext which gets played with all the time so he was really happy to get the Imaginext Superflight City set for review.

Imaginext Superflight City is a Batman themed set, which includes Wayne Manor and a 360 degree flying helicopter to allow Batman to fly over Gotham City!

Once you take the set out of the box, there’s some simple assembly to add the helicopter mechanism which can be attached and detached to the side of the Wayne Manor building.  img_4687

The set comes with a Batman and a Joker figure, which can each ride in the helicopter by clipping into it

img_4690The 360 degree movement of the helicopter arm is great, as Batman (or Joker) can fly in any direction and swoop down from anywhere!

There’s also a lot of detail in the Wayne Manor area of the set, with a projectile launcher and lots of different rooms and areas for the figures to go. img_4693

The projectile launcher shoots out disks (it comes with 4) at the side of the set, and this is also easy for kids to work while they play. The launcher is part of a lift mechanism so it can be launched from different heights.

With Imaginext sets, there’s loads of scope for imaginary play and storytelling, and R will spend ages playing with his figures and Imaginext sets making up different scenarios. These sets are some of his most used toys, because they’re so versatile and they can be also be played with by a few children at a time – if siblings want to join in, or when friends are visiting.

The Superflight City set has quickly become a favourite among his Imaginext.

One of the great things with Imaginext is that all of the sets are compatible too, so we see lots of cross over between different characters and sets while the kids are playing – making the possibilities even more unlimited.

The Imaginext Superflight City set is available for around 44.99 from all good toy shops, including Smyths
