Frubes have teamed up with one of the most popular kids films of the summer, The Angry Birds Movie, for a special on pack promotion and competition. To find out more, we had the chance to take part in a special Frubes and Angry Birds sleepover at Thorpe Park (home of Angry Birds Land) this summer!

During the sleepover, the kids took part in a fun Frubes dance workshop with Britains Got Talent dance star Balance Unity who taught them some cool street dance moves and helped them set up their own Angry Birds Vs Pigs dance off.

Frubes have plenty of calcium and vitamin D to help give kids the energy and strong bones they need to stay active. I do find them really handy and my boys love them as a snack, especially the strawberry flavour (you can also get red berry, peach, and banana flavours). The Frubes are suitable for Vegetarians, have no added colours or artificial flavours, and can last for up to 8 hours outside of the fridge – making them suitable for lunch boxes or taking as a snack on days out.

img_3145 The promotional Angry Birds Frubes packs will be available until 31st October, and give you the chance to win a grand prize of a family holiday for four, spending six nights in the Bahamas. During the trip the lucky winners will be able to spot exotic birds, and even swim with pigs!

There are lots of weekly prizes of Angry Birds merchandise too.

You can support either the Angry Birds or the Pigs on an online version of their dance off over on the new Frubes Angry Birds website too!

During our Frubes Sleepover, we had the chance to spend some extra time in the Angry Birds Land after the park was closed. The boys particularly enjoyed riding on the Angry Birds dodgems so many times!

Angry Birds Land also has a really good 4D show that’s definitely worth a watch if you’re spending a day at Thorpe Park.

We stayed over in the Thorpe Park Shark Hotel which has family rooms that will sleep four in each room, and gives you early access to the park in the morning, allowing you to get on your favourite rides without queueing before everyone else gets in!

To get into the Shark Hotel you need to go through this shark which the kids found very exciting! The hotel is cleverly themed and is unique and different from any we’ve seen elsewhere, we all enjoyed staying in it.

The next day, with plenty of energy from eating their Frubes, the boys spent the full day going on lots of rides, and enjoying time on the Thorpe Park Amity Beach. There are actually a lot more rides suitable for younger kids at Thorpe Park than I had remembered! My boys are 5 (turned 5 that weekend at Thorpe Park!), 6 and 8 with heights of 1.1m, 1.2m and 1.3m and although the big thrill rides are for height 1.4m there were plenty of other slightly smaller rides that they were allowed to go on. They particularly loved the Flying Fish.

If you go on a hot day, definitely pack swimming things too. We were so lucky with the weather and the kids all loved the beach, which has a shallow outdoor pool and water slides that they can go on.

Also, if you’re planning to go on the Tidal Wave ride – bring a full set of spare clothes! Lucky we had some extras in the car, as I didn’t realise quite how wet they would all get on that one!

We had a great weekend at Thorpe Park! Thanks to Frubes for inviting us.

Don’t forget to pick up some packs of Frubes to enter the on-pack Angry Birds promotion. You can find them in all leading supermarkets, with packs of 9 x 40g Frubes for 2.00
