Kidzania is a great place to keep the kids entertained. If you haven’t visited Kidzania before, it’s like a mini city for children were they can take part in all kinds of jobs to earn ” Kidzos” (the Kidzanian currency) and take part in all kinds of activities from cooking, to disco dancing and kareoke, to fire fighting, rock climbing and more!

The aim of Kidzania is to allow kids some independence, while having fun in a safe environment, so the children do each of the activities by themselves and parents can watch through the viewing windows – or relax in the parent’s lounge with a coffee.

My boys have been a few times since Kidzania opened last year, and recently visited to try out the new Mission Deli Wrap Factory which has just opened. This has quickly become one of their favourite activities to do at Kidzania!

The Mission Deli Wrap Factory is on the upper floor of Kidzania, next to the air conditioning maintenance job, and takes 20 minutes per session. During the session, kids get to make their own dough and put it through the wrap making machine to flatten it into perfectly formed round Mission Deli wraps.

At the end of the session, they get to take their own packet of Mission Deli wraps away with them to eat later. Our family loves these wraps, so the boys were really happy with their own packets that they made. We’ve made our own round breads at home before, but the Kidzania ones came out much flatter and more professional looking so they were very pleased with them.

As with all of the activities in Kidzania, the kids dress up in the proper uniform to make the wraps and the session is very hands on with them mixing the ingredients themselves and learning how the wrap making machine works.

The Mission Deli Wrap Factory activity takes 6 kids at a time, and is suitable for any Kidzania visitors from age 4+. All of my boys have enjoyed this, from my 4 year old up to my 8 year old.

  1. We’ve never been there, but I’ve heard positive reviews from co-workers. We eat fajitas fairly often, so I think my daughter would love making wraps.
