With Father’s Day this weekend, the Star Wars mini build books make a great activity for kids to enjoy together with their Dads. It’s always lovely to find activities that they can get absorbed in together and spend some quality time, and the Star Wars mini build books from Egmont have been great for this in our house!

We were sent two of the mini build books to try out and review, which are the:

Star Wars: Battle Stations: Activity Book and Model (the model is a mini ATAT)

Smuggler’s Starship: Activity Book and Model (the model is a mini Millennium Falcon)

Both books include an activity book at the front:

but the main attraction is the push out model with step to step instructions on how to put it together. When finished, these models look very impressive and my boys were so pleased with them (as was their Dad!)

Normally, I’m the one to do any of the crafty activities with the kids, so it was really nice to see their Dad getting the chance to get involved in this kind of activity. They all enjoyed it a lot, and the kids were absorbed in the model making, concentrating really well!

Our four year old and six year old both took part in building the At-At model together with their dad, and the level seemed fine for them, but it’s definitely something that’s good to do with a helping adult to make sure it’s all completed properly.

They made the At-At model first, and are looking forward to doing the Millennium Falcon model together tomorrow for Father’s Day.

  1. They look great, and it’s good that once the model’s made, there’s still other activities to complete in the book!

  4. My nephew is a huge Star Wars fan and this would be ideal for him. Sadly he’s a type 1 diabetic and this book would definitely keep him distracted during his many hospital appointments. Many thanks for running this lovely giveaway.

  5. My boys would love these as they are Star Wars Mad at 5 years old! They know as much as their Dad and are obsessed. We have given them their Dad’s old Millennium Falcon to play with!
